The wait is over as the new Sony PSP 3000 is now available to purchase in the UK, and Amazon is currently promoting an offer that includes Sony PSP 3000 with FIFA 09 as part of the package.

According to comments left by people at the Amazon page for the offer, some of the great new features of the new Sony PSP 3000 includes:

PSP 3000 with enhanced screen and built in mic

We are back with a bit more news about the coming PSP-3000, that will feature an enhanced screen and a built in mic if we are to believe the rumors.

With the new PSP 3000 right around the corner with an expected European launch in October, Sony is keeping busy trying to make sure there are enough interesting updates to the new PSP 3000 to make it interesting enough for current PSP owners to upgrade as well as for new gamers to buy the upgraded PSP model.

Latest information is that the rumored battery issues due to the improved screen is not true, and that battery life will remain pretty much the same on the upgraded PSP 3000. It will also feature a built in mic, and for the most optimistic of us, there is rumors about phone functionality, although we take those PSP rumors with a pinch of salt.

New PSP 3000 finally official

Sony could not keep the new PSP 3000 hidden for much longer, and as many expected they officially broke the news to the world at the Leipzig games convention in late August.

There is not a lot of information out there yet as far as the features of the new Sony PSP 3000 goes, but the rumor is that it will hit the European market mid October with a likely retail price of €199 (about £150).

Some images have however been leaked to the media which reveals a new Sony PSP 3000 that looks a lot like the previous PSP 2000, but apparently it will include an improved screen and a built in mic.
